Traveling to Puerto Rico!

How to get there

Puerto Rico is a part of the U.S. so you do not need a passport or a visa to go there. Puerto Rico also uses the U.S. dollar for currency there, so you wont have to go through Currency exchange to make purchases there.

Cruise:

  • Carnival provides a cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico and a few other places for $499 per person. For a room with an ocean view in the month of April on a Saturday and Sunday, Your price would be $789. Of course that doesn't include some other prices included for cruise experiences.
Flight:
  • For a round trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico on South West Air lines, The total cost would be $782. The departure would be on May 3rd and you would come back May 7th. They flight would take around 8 hours to Puerto Rico and 6 hours back.

Where to stay

I found A hotel on cheapcarribean.com. This website includes the price of your round trip flight and your stay at the hotel.

There are many of other fun excursions but these are just some of the examples I found on www.viators.com/puerto-rico/tours

Where to go
  • You can visit the El Yunque Rainforest for an exotic experience
  • If you like peace and quiet you can sail to a deserted island called Catamaran.
  • You also can take a walking tour in Old San Juan which I assume would give you plenty of information on the islands history.
  • You should also go to Casa Bacardí Puerto Rico. Its a place for adults to drink and also take mixing classes.
  • Lastly you should visit Bio Bay for some night kayaking.
How much?

  • Assuming you choose to go by cheapcarribean.com the total for your flights and room for 2 people would be $2,678.
  • Food and drinks for 2 nights would be around $250-$300.

They lived in small villages led by chiefs. Eventually Christopher Columbus came and discovered islands in the Caribbean including Puerto Rico.
